Quality and Design of Pure Air Pro Electric Scooter :

The Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15  is the most compact electric scooter you can find on the market, or – at least – the most compact we’ve tested so far (and we’ve tested many!). When you compare it to other electric scooters, you can see that the handlebar is shorter and the deck closer to the ground. However, it’s when you fold it that the Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 gives its best in terms of compactness. The electric scooter bends on itself becoming one compact and solid piece: this is because the stem and deck, when folded, match perfectly. This, plus its small weight (only 23 lbs), makes the Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 easy to carry around and store.

The folding mechanism is also peculiar and more comfortable than many others. Instead of having to bend down to push or pull a lever (or pushing it with your feet), you can simply pull a lever on the center of the handlebar: it automatically retracts the handgrips and allows the electric scooter to fold.

Handlebars

The Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15’s handlebar has a peculiar shape. The handgrips are small and rubberized for enhanced comfort and firmer grip; their peculiar shape allows them to be folded inwards easily when the electric scooter is folded.

There are two controllers on the handlebar that you can operate with your thumb without losing your grip on the handgrips. As on the majority of electric scooters, you have the accelerator on the right and the brake on the left. If you press both controllers down you can have a loud horn, which is an additional sign that this electric scooter has been specifically designed for city commuting.

On the center of the handlebar, there’s a small display that’s built into the frame and doesn’t protrude by an inch. Just like when you fold your T15, when you look at its handlebar you see one compact and solid piece. The display shows riding and battery info; it’s well visible at night, but not very clear under direct sunlight.

Tires

The Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 mounts a 7.5’ front rubber tire and a 6’ rear one. Because of the tires being this small, the deck is very low to the ground. This doesn’t make the T15 ideal for rough terrains or anything other than flat asphalt or floor. Again, this electric scooter is strictly designed for city commuting and other uses seem not to be taken into any consideration by the manufacturer.

Lights

The Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15 features a premium set of lights. They make the electric scooter handsome and they serve their purposes increasing visibility and enhancing safety.

You have a rear red light that runs around the fender and a vertical LED strip on the front vertical stem. Furthermore, you can use two white headlights to improve your visibility when you ride in poor light conditions. The overall set of light is very efficient in signaling your presence on the road: when you have your lights on, you are visible from quite a distance.

Deck

As we’ve just mentioned, the T15’s deck is very close to the ground. This can have some disadvantages: it makes the electric scooter unsuitable for terrains different from flat asphalt or floors, and – whenever you ride on a bump – you risk damaging the bottom of your deck. Again, this electric scooter is strictly designed for city commuting and doesn’t allow other uses.

Brakes

The Segway Ninebot Air T15 has a double brake system. You can slow down by pushing down the rear fender (just like on traditional scooters) but it also has an electric brake that you can operate by pressing down the thumb button on the left handlebar.

The brake is also regenerative: it helps lengthen the scooter’s battery life by recharging it while you use the brake.

Kickstand

As all electric scooters these days, the Ninebot Ait T15 too is provided with a retractable kickstand. However, the design of it is peculiar: it’s thicker than usual kickstands mounted on other models, but – once more – the peculiarity is that when you retract it, it totally disappears within the deck frame. All lights are also customizable through the app.

Assembling

There is little to say about the Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15’s assembly other than it comes fully assembled – which is always good news. Other than avoiding the assembling process that can be long and boring, you can also be sure that everything is in the right place since the manufacturer has already assembled the device for you.

What deserves a special mention here is the packaging: it’s made with sustainable paper and reusable foam. Other than protecting the electric scooter during the expedition, the foam can be reused as a stand and charger. The charging brick and cable can be put inside a slot that runs through the foam and then you can easily put the scooter into the stand and plug it in.

Once you’ve charged your brand new Segway’s Ninebot KickScooter Air T15  and downloaded the app (you need it to activate the device) you are ready to go.

Performance for Pure Air Pro:

The Segway’s Ninebot Air T15 features a 250W motor that provides power for a maximum speed of 12.4 mph. This might not seem very fast – well, it is not but – again and again – this electric scooter is not made to be fast. You can’t go too fast on an electric scooter in most cities all around the world, that’s why the manufacturer opted for this motor and maximum speed.

The T15, however, is very efficient uphill and very comfortable to ride – as long as you ride through the city and avoid off-road paths. The small tires and the absence of proper suspensions don’t affect the comfort and stability of the electric scooter.

There are four riding modes available for the T15 electric scooter:

  • Pedestrian mode: 3.7 mph
  • Energy-saving mode: 6 mph
  • Standard mode: 9 mph
  • Sport mode: 12.4 mph (full power)

They are a lot for such a slow electric scooter, but they can still be useful if the rider is a kid or a complete beginner. There is also a convenient cruise mode available that keeps the speed constant as you ride enhancing your comfort.

Battery life

The Ninebot Air T15 electric scooter is powered by a 167 Wh (4650 mAh) battery: it allows you to ride your e-scooter for 7.5 miles on a single charge.

A 7.5-mile distance can be too short for many riders but it’s suitable for the purpose this electric scooter is designed for: every day, short-distance commuting.

Why we like about Pure Air Pro Electric Scooter:

  • Perfect for city commuting

If you need an alternative means of transport for your everyday commuting to work, school, or the bus station, this is the perfect electric scooter for you. There is no other electric scooter in the market that has ideal features for commuting better than this one.

  • Portability

It’s lightweight and it can be comfortably and conveniently folded. It’s easy to carry around when it’s folded and it’s easy to unfold. In terms of portability, this is most likely the absolute best electric scooter around.

  • Design

Not many electric scooters have a design that stands out from the crowd. The Segway’s Ninebot Air T15 is one of them and it looks like no other electric scooter you’ve ever seen.

What we didn't like about Pure Air Pro Electric Scooter:

  •   The display isn’t very visible under direct sunlight.
For an electric scooter designed for city commuting this can be a bit annoying.
  •   The deck is too close to the ground
Even on city roads, you can encounter small bumps or puddles. With the deck so close to the ground, you’d better avoid even the smallest one.
