Do you know what is the most common mistake commuters do when purchasing their adult electric scooter? They focus on speed and mileage and then they find themselves with a heavy and cumbersome device that they struggle to lift and carry with them on the train, in their car trunk, inside the house.

The perfect electric scooter for commuting has decent top speed and mileage, and it needs to be portable. Portable doesn’t only mean foldable: it also has to be lightweight enough to allow you to lift and carry it with not much effort – and if it’s well balanced, the better.

The Jetson Element Pro Electric Scooter meets all these requirements. It looks good, it can provide good performance and it’s portable – for real. Read on to find out all you need to know about the Jetson Element Pro Electric Scooter.

Quality and Design of Jetson Element Pro :

The Jetson Element Pro features a simple all-black design. It’s 100% suitable for an adult rider (it measures 40 x 16.5 x 42.5 inches – and 40 x 16.5 x 15 when folded).

Thanks to the aluminum frame, it’s extremely sturdy while also being lightweight (it only weighs 28 lbs). The folding system works through a lever located on the tube steam. You can pull the lever, fold the e-scooter, and secure it through a hook. When folded the e-scooter is well-balanced. All these features together make the Jetson Element Pro easily portable.

Handlebars

All the features you need to control the Jetson Elements Pro are located in the handlebar. So, you’ll have the throttle, brake and LCD display all within reach. The Thumb throttle would be on your right. On your left, you’ll find the electric brake button (you can also distinguish it from the throttle through the red color of the button other than its position). The LCD display shows information about speed, light function, battery life, and more. You can also use the Power button (also located on the handlebar) to switch between the 3 different speed settings.

Breaks

The Jetson Element Pro features a double brake system which is very efficient in bringing the e-scooter to a quick and safe stop when needed. It has an electric rear brake that can be operated through the thumb bottom from the handlebar (left side and red button – the black one on the right is the accelerator!) which is also supported by a traditional mechanic brake that the rider can operate with their foot.

Tires

This electric scooter features 8 inches tires: they allow a comfortable and smooth riding while also providing good stability and balance.

Kickstand

The Jetson Element Pro features very comfortable portability, and if that’s not enough, it also has a retractable kickstand that you can use every time you need to leave your e-scooter standing.

Deck

The Jetson Element Pro features an adult design: the deck is wide enough to host an adult’s feet comfortably.

Assembly

Like most of the electric scooters in the market, when the Jetson Element Pro comes to your house it requires a little assembly. It’s a quick and easy process and the manual that comes in the package would give you a hand. You’ll basically need to connect the handlebar to the steam. A color code will guide you so you can’t attach the pieces in the wrong position. The four screws that are needed to secure the pieces together are included.

Performance for Jetson Quest Element pro:

The Jetson Element Pro can reach a top speed of up to 16 mph provided by a 250-watt hub-motor. The speed can be affected by several factors (such as the type of terrain you’re riding on or the rider’s weight) so consider the 16 mph speed as ideal (the speed that the e-scooter can reach with ideal conditions).

The Jetson Element Pro allows you to choose between three different speed settings that limit the speed as follows:

  1. Maximum speed up to 10 mph
  2. Maximum speed up to 13 mph
  3. Maximum speed up to 16 mph

The acceleration feels very smooth and the electric brake works perfectly. When used with the support of the mechanic rear brake it can really stop the e-scooter very quickly.

This is not exactly the electric scooter suitable for rough terrains, but it works fine on moderately uneven terrains thanks to the 8’’-tires.

Battery life and charging time

The Jetson Element Pro Electric Scooter features a lithium-ion battery that provides a mileage of 12 miles on a single charge. Even though the mileage might not seem that impressive, the Jetson Element Pro can be charged very quickly: it takes 4 hours to fully charge the electric scooter, and this is among the quickest charging time among e-scooters on the market (for any price range). The manufacturer recommends to plug the charger into the wall before the charging port and to avoid turning the e-scooter on while it’s charging. You’ll find colored indicators on the charger that can come very handy: a red light indicates that the e-scooter is charging, and it will turn blue or green when the charge is complete.

Why we like about Jetson Element Pro Electric Scooter:

Portability

Foldable, lightweight, and very well balanced, the Jetson Element Pro can be lifted and carried around with no effort and enhanced comfort. This is an e-scooter thought for commuters under any aspect: and if you commute to work (or anywhere) sooner or later you’ll need to carry your e-scooter.

Overall Performance

Mileage and speed are 100% for the needs of a commuter, which is the targeted customer for this electric scooter. Riding the Jetson Element Pro feels fun and comfortable. The LCD display comes very in handy. It’s unlikely that an adult would choose to limit the top speed, but the three-speed options available don’t bother anyway.

What we didn't like about Jetson Element Pro Electric Scooter:

It struggles when riding uphill

Any electric scooter would go slower and truffle a little when riding uphill, but more powerful scooters can overcome the problem. This is not the case for the Jetson Element Pro Electric Scooter – and we didn’t expect it seen its very affordable price. It slows down pretty much when riding uphill. If you’re considering purchasing this e-scooter, think of the route you’d use the most. If there are a lot of ups and downs, you should know that you may find yourself walking on the uphill sections.

Specifically designed for commuters, the Jetson Element Pro Electric Scooter has any feature a commuter would need as you have seen in this review. Not just decent speed and mileage but also enhanced portability. If you’re searching an electric scooter for commuting the Jetson Element Pro would be a perfect – affordable – choice.
